The rates were very high for travel! Ive seen cheaper online. App flows pretty well however.

As this was my first experience traveling by train in Europe, CapitaineTrain was the one place to search and purchase tickets.

Its nice to have this app especially if you travel by train a lot. It makes travelling more convenient.

This is a extremely simple app to use that is very straightforward. The app is tied to Passbook which makes it even better. Very happy! I would also like to add that the customer service that Capitaine Train provided me was very prompt and complete. These folks are super nice and I was thoroughly impressed with my entire booking experience.

Much easier to buy a TGV ticket here than on the website. I would give 5 stars except you cant purchase train tickets for Italy. Otherwise, fantastic!

The English is very good on the website, and it is extremely easy to navigate! Also, though I have had trouble with some places not accepting my American credit card in France, I had no problem at all using it with this app. So helpful! Thank you!

I kept getting messages that Capitaine could not find connections even when I already had tickets. Save your money. Deutsche Bahn and SBB and SNCF are far better apps.

Please please add a pay with PayPal choice on the mobile app. I know its on the full website but thats a hassle since I mainly book with my iPhone and prefer using PayPal. Thanks :)

Only thing missing is Apple Pay, but Im sure itll be added shortly.

This app is very well designed and its very easy to buy a ticket in few minutes! I even had a 10€ discount! Im very happy :-)

This app is a one stop shop and makes purchasing rail quick and easy.

App will not let you pick more than one train so you cant see other options. It requires all kinds of useless information just to check times and fares. According to this thing theres one train a day from Frankfurt to Paris with four changes. really thats my only option?

Finally an app that works much better than Voyages SNCF AND allows non-French residents and holders of non-French debit or credit cards to purchase SNCF train tickets online. Yes... in case you had not noticed yet, the only way to purchase SNCF tickets with a non-French card directly from SNCF is to show up physically at a sales window inside a train station... Some sort of allergy SNCF online people must have to non-French means of payments... Go figure.

Anyone who has purchase train tickets with SNCF or Thalys web sites MUST try this app. Its soooooo much easier and quicker. It supports passbook where it makes sense. It has a "smart" widget that is only visible when it has something meaningful to say and is out of your way otherwise. It supports all major credit cards including Amex and Touch ID. And this version even will let you know from which platform your train will leave as soon as its published. Anyone who has tried to reach Gare du Nord in Paris by cab and seen the departure time of his/her train approaching will appreciate the value of this.

First of all, I want to point at that capitaine train is a fairly good app for buying train tickets, the user experience is better than most app. But they don not offer any customer service by phone, only email, which is highly inconvenient in urgent situations. Once you buy a ticket from them, you cant contact the carrier directly for support and have to go through Capitaine Train. This is unacceptable when selling tickets.

I travel a lot and often to Europe. This app is the best for booking train travel there. I have had extremely bad luck with their major competitor, Rail Europe in timeliness, support and additional fees. That does not happen with this app which is user friendly and service oriented. I highly recommend it.

While in France, we took a train to bayeaux and purchased our tickets with this app. No problems at all. The train personnel just scanned our barcodes directly off the phone. No printing of tickets necessary. We also purchased tickets that we later had to cancel and we were refunded immediately. Will always use this for European train rides!

Handy, beautiful, simple!

Surprisingly, this is one of the most well made apps I have ever seen, allowing you to easily book train tickets while in France. It is so well made and polished, incorporating multiple features I havent seen in other apps - such as payment via Touch ID, and full Passbook support!
